Brighton Pride Buzz Builds


With an amazing line-up of top artists already confirmed to perform on the newly reinstated main stage including Paloma Faith (DJ set), Alison Moyet and the MKS (the original Sugababes) Stooshe, Ms Dynamite, Boy Bands The Mend, & Class A, plus a sensational Divas show featuring Angie Brown, Kym Mazelle. With many more artists to be confirmed its all set to be the best Pride ever !

The hugely popular Legends Cabaret tent is back with Legendary hostess Lola Lasagne is at the helm of the cabaret tent, keeping all the drag queens in line and making sure the entertainment non stop.
Lola explains “Once again I’m very proud to be at the helm of the Cabaret Tent, sponsored by Legends Hotel. Brighton Pride’s theme is Icons on the Park, & I’ve gathered together some of the cabaret scenes very own icons for your Entertainment” Lola told us, adding “The finest from Brighton & London come together to provide one hell of a show for over 5 hours. There’ll be a strong mix of humour & powerhouse vocals on display providing something for everyone!”

Elsewhere on Preston Park, Pride has pulled out all the stops to ensure the return of the popular Paul Wilde line dance tent, which is hosted by the Cactus Club from 4pm who provide regular line dance lessons including a dedicated lesson especially for wheelchair users at 6pm for the first time this year, so grab your cowboy boots and hat for some line dancing fun!

The women’s performance tent boasts a fantastic and extensive line up of live acts headlined by renowned artist ‘Horse’ and X factor star Lucy Spraggan, who’s involvement has tongues wagging around town.

Much attention is always paid to the Wild Fruit big top and it’s stellar DJ line-up including superstar DJs The Freemasons who are are sure to raise the big tops roof in typical Wild Fruit style.
Also confirmed to play is Mark Doyle from Fierce Angel, Steve Pitron, Dulcie Danger and Maze & Masters.

Brighton Pride is really excited to announce a brand new dedicated alfresco Bears Zone on Preston Park this year.
Situated at the top of the park & looking over the Pride festivities the new open-air Bears area is bigger and better than any bears facility previously at Brighton Pride.
Prides Bear Zone features a themed DJ stage for plenty of alfresco dancing, a Bears bar, food stalls, Hog roast, seating area, Bears picnic area.
DJ’s confirmed so far include HiFi Sean, Severino, Chris Barker, Richard Jones, Josh the Barber, Phil Lovedisco, DJ Mikalis, Lee Jeffrey.

2013’s edition of Brighton Pride is looking more and more inclusive and exciting every day with a wider range of attractions and events than ever before including the flamboyant and spectacular LGBT Community parade kicking off from Madeira Drive from 11am.
