The event follows the hugely successful roast of Maisie Trollette last year. The glamorous Tammy Twinkle will be compering the event, which sees Lola Lasagne assume the role of ‘roastee.’ Four of her closest friends – the ‘roasters’ Miss Jason, Dave Lynn, Dolly Partem (Trashville Tennessee) and Miss Rose Garden – will individually share intimate, bawdy, yet ever entertaining stories of their dear friend. Once they have finished, it will be Lola’s turn to stand her ground; all of which will be done in jest, of course.
Admission is free, however there will be a charity collection on the door, with all money raised coming to Terrence Higgins Trust. Table bookings for a two course roast and a glass of wine at £20 can be arranged by calling Charles Street on (01273) 624091.
Ross Boseley, Health Promotion Co-ordinator for Terrence Higgins Trust in Brighton, said, ‘We are very happy to see the return of this cabaret event in support of our local work. It’s a fun opportunity for the community to help raise money for services to people living with HIV in the area. We hope that this roast will as successful as last year’s, and we look forward to another evening of great entertainment.’
