The Rainbow Chorus is calling young LGBT people to come along to a FREE workshop on Saturday 20th March 2010 in central Brighton with the participation of Lorraine Bowen.
In December 2009 The Rainbow Chorus was awarded £10,000 funding by the BBC Choral Ambition as part of their Performing Arts Fund. The grant allowed the choir to increase their profile in the LGBT community through its funding of open access events and workshops. Thanks to the BBC the Rainbow Chorus has now arranged this FREE workshop. While The Rainbow Chorus always wants more people to hear them sing, they also want more people to get involved in singing with them. Bored with watching the X-Factor and wanting to give it a try yourself? No need to read music all you need is to give it a go. Just turn up, it’s free!
Venue: The Hanbury Ballroom, 83 St Georges Road, Brighton.
Date: Saturday 20th March 2010
Times: 1pm to 4pm
Entry is FREE!
With this concert The Rainbow Chorus will conclude a very successful year including concerts and performances at ‘Various Voices’ (London), ‘International Day Against Homophobia’, ‘The Brighton Fringe Festival’, the NUT LGBT conference, ‘The Charleston Festival’ and their first Christmas concert performed in Brighton.
The Rainbow Chorus is looking to expand their membership in the South and has members from Brighton and Hove, Worthing, Crawley, Burgess Hill and Hastings.
