The organisers of Manchester Pride are pleased to announce that Mish Mash will be holding a show on the Sackville Gardens Stage at this year’s Big Weekend (Saturday 28 August).
Mish Mash is a mix of stand up comedy and performance poetry, along with novelty acts, burlesque and live music. It’s all held together by radio presenter Chris Holliday.
Chris Holliday, Mish Mash presenter said: “Pride is an important date in Manchester’s calendar and Mish Mash is thrilled to be a part of it. A fabulous show is pre-ordained – hairy hilarity, surprises galore, some seriously sensational music – all with extra glitter and nipple tassels thrown in.”
Jackie Crozier, festival director of Manchester Pride, said: “Mish Mash Cabaret has been staging nights of fun around Manchester for a while now, and we’re delighted that they will be bringing their show to Pride. I can’t wait to hear the new sounds, poetry and comedy acts they will be showcasing and I’m sure it will go down really well with the crowds.”
Tickets for the Big Weekend are now on sale and can be purchased at www.manchesterpride.com or at various venues around the city.
Early Bird tickets for Manchester Pride’s four-day Big Weekend, which runs from Friday 27- Monday 30 August, cost £12.50 plus booking fee and are available until 30 June. From 1 July tickets will cost £17.50 plus booking fee.
