Registrations for this year’s Pride in Brighton and Hove Parade opens on Monday, 29th March.
The theme for this year’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) parade is Pride and (No) Prejudice and will see around 55 entries from a mix of local community groups, businesses, individuals and national companies.
Commenting Pride’s Fundraising and Communications Manager, Judith Manson said:
‘We are expecting this year’s theme to capture the imagination, not only is it a fantastic way to showcase and celebrate LGBT lives in the City but this year’s theme really gives groups the opportunity to proclaim that discrimination and homophobic and transgender prejudice is never acceptable.’
As ever, the spectacular Pride Parade will gather on Madeira Drive in the morning, make its way through the City up to Preston Park to join the fun and frolics at the Main Park Event on Saturday 7th August 2010.
‘So its time to put your thinking caps on and decide on your Pride and (No) Prejudice themed float or walking group’ said Judith.
