Organisers of the ‘WellFit Sports Party’ welcomed dozens of sports clubs, choirs and representatives of the LGBT media to Kudos on Saturday night with a drinks reception to launch their Cologne Gay Games reunion night on Saturday 26th March at Union Club, Vauxhall.
Representatives attended from the following clubs: Irons Golf, Same Sex Dancing, London Frontrunners, Ishigaki Ju Jitsu, Pink Collar Boxing, Gay Outdoor Club, the Olympics, Diversity Choir and many more.
WellFit celebrates the participation of over 800 athletes from the UK at last year’s Gay Games in Cologne, many brought home top medals. WellFit aims to recreate the inclusivity and friendliness of the Games’ parties and is open to all, whether you were a Gay Games participant or have never played sport. WellFit has three distinctive areas:
Party – dance the night away on the main dance floor all night long
Play – test your skills (or play for the first time) against famous sporting celebrities – Wii Fit, Pool and Wrestling
Mix – the bar area plays host to an exhibition area where you can meet and talk to LGBT sports, cultural, social and health groups.
The stellar line up so far includes DJs Miss Cupcake, Marco Gee, Rub.Me.Out and vocal house singer Tonnic – with more to be announced. The organisers are showcasing different clubs (sport, dance and singing) in their magical market-place as well as transforming the clubs into a ‘sports-themed playground’.
All profits made from the night will be put into a fund to help LGBT sports, cultural, social and health groups. Tickets are available online www.london2018.info/wellfit, on the door, and at a discounted rate from participating LGBT sports clubs (including London Frontrunners).
